Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Symptoms and Diagonisis

Introduction

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a problem that affects a child’s nervous system and growth and development. It commonly shows up during children of 3 years onwards. Some children with ASD make their own world and isolate themselves from society. Therefore, this deeply impacts on the child’s brain and nervous system.

What is ASD

A child with ASD may also have issues with their brain structure or chemical balance. Research lets us know that ASD is not caused by what a parent does to raise a child. However, it is not linked with any kinds of vaccination or nutrition value. Seldomly other things that may caused ASD include:

  • Childrens are exposed to a toxic environment before and after birth.
  • Infections before birth
  • Problems during delivery

ASD occurs in all radical, ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Certain gene disorders that run in families can raise a child’s risk for ASD.these include Fragile-X, Tuberous sclerosis, Chromosome problems, Neurofibromatosis and Phenylketonuria. Children need to genetic testing to help find out if any problem has contributed

Symptoms and diagnosis

ASD is a neuro developmental disorder associated with persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction in various contexts. Restricted and repetitive motor movement, Some children show signs of ASD in early infants such as reduced eye contact, lack of responsibility and indifferent to the caregivers.

ASD is widely varied, there isn’t a specific medical test to determine this disease. Just observe how your child is socially interacting, communicating skills, as well as behavioural and developmental disorder.

Observe specifically the hearing capacity, speech, language and the developmental delays. Critically analyse the reports on the guideline of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association.

Conclusion

Autism  is now acknowledged as a significant neurological disorder and a major public health concern, and extensive research is being carried out to understand their cause. Although finding the root cause has been challenging, researchers are persisting with more advanced approaches. There are several treatments available that can assist children with autism  to learn and develop their social skills, despite their level of impairment. Although a major breakthrough may not be imminent, there is reason to remain optimistic.
